Yes, it is now confirmed, OnePlus 2 is coming on July 27th and with a very powerful 3GB LPDDR4 RAM. You heard that right, a whopping 3GB of RAM just like the ones running on your personal computers. This big announcement was made by OnePlus on their official website.
The 3GB LPDDR4 RAM is said to run on low voltage so it will need lesser power to operate than any other RAM thus giving you a longer battery life. The LPDDR4 RAM has a higher bandwidth which will give you faster loading times and a much smoother gameplay. The LPDDR4 is said to be twice as fast as the LPDDR3 and operates on a low-frequency mode keeping the clock speed down.
With all the news and leaks till date we have understood that OnePlus 2 specs will include a Snapdragon 810 chipset (improved version with no heating issues), a fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, and 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM . These are only a few we have known so far and we will be introduced to a lot more once the OnePlus 2 goes public. Looking at these few features and all the other developments surrounding the OnePlus 2 we can say that OnePlus has done a remarkable job with their upcoming device and packing the LPDDR4 RAM on the OnePlus 2 which no other flagship phone has except the ASUS ZenFone 2, OnePlus has certainly challenged the other mobile manufacturing biggies and made a statement that, “they are here to stay and will continue to make some unbelievable phones at some unbelievable price point.”
