Rumors surrounding the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ continue with the latest being about the specifications and features of these phones. Rumors also say that these two smartphones are due to launch on August 12.
The latest leak comes from Sammobile which says the Galaxy Note 5 will be sporting a 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM exactly what OnePlus have announced for the OnePlus 2. The leak also said that the Galaxy Note 5 will be coming with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a Quad HD screen resolution (2,560 x 1,440p), an Exynos 7422 processor (ePOP) that will provide the CPU, GPU, LTE, RAM, and storage on a single chip. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will be missing out on a microSD card slot, just like the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. The phone will be powered by a 4100 mAh battery.
Design wise the Note 5 is said to have the same design profile as the Galaxy S6. There will be minor design changes for the S Pen though. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will be available in four variants Silver, Gold, Black and White.
Now, let’s shift our focus to the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ which is an improved version of its predecessor the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge. The S6 edge+ is rumored to have a larger screen and will power Exynos 7420 processor rather than Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC. The phone will have a USB 2.0 charging port rather than the expected USB Type-C port and will be available in four variants just like the Note 5.
Besides, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ will feature the same 5MP front camera and 16MP back camera with f/1.9 apertures and 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 are rumored to be announced on August 12th and will be on sale from August 21st.
In another report, GSMArena leaked images of these upcoming phones. The image shows the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 to feature a Samsung Galaxy S6-like design and screen dimensions of 153.3×76.1×7.9mm, which is a 5.7-inch display. The leaked images report also says that the Note 5 will be having a nonremovable battery.
In the other image by ITSKINS shows the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ having a larger screen size compared to its predecessor and with dimensions 154.4×75.8×6.9mm. A camera bump is also visible in this image.
