Android Studio 2.4 Preview 4 is now available !

Android Studio is the fastest and powerful IDE used to build Android-based applications.The latest preview version of Android Studio is Android Studio 2.4 which includes updates to the build tools, Google Play in the emulator itself, and some bug fixes.But it still in the preview version, Contributors can test it and share its bug reports to improve the new Android Studio 2.4. This version is not a released version like Android Studio 2.3.1. ie, Android Studio 2.4 still in the development stage. Become an adopter by developing the test Android apllication with this version.

Android Studio is the most flexible IDE for Android-based apps development compared to Eclipse IDE, Google trying to improve their IDE performance and user interface which helps in deploying of many useful apps to Google Play Store.Beginners can easily understand the overview of the Android Studio, everyone can learn Android app development with some common knowledge in Java. Google Play store app is now included with Android 7.0 (API 24) emulator system images. Developer will need to create a fresh  Android Virtual Devices (AVD) and then  select the best hardware device configuration compatible with the Google Play Store and your computer hardware.

Windows

  • Microsoft® Windows® 7/8/10 (32 or 64-bit).
  • Minimum 3 GB RAM, Recommended  8 GB RAM and 1 GB for the Android Emulator.
  • Minimum 2 GB of available disk space,
    Recommended 4 GB (1.5 GB for Android SDK and emulator system image and 500 MB for IDE).
  • Minimum screen resolution:1280 x 800.
  • For accelerated emulator: Intel® processor with support Intel® EM64T (Intel® 64), Intel® VT-x, Execute Disable (XD) Bit functionality.

Mac OS

  • Mac® OS X® 10.10 (Yosemite) or higher up to 10.12.
  • Minimum 3 GB RAM, Recommended  8 GB RAM; and 1 GB for the Android Emulator
  • Minimum 2 GB of available disk space,
    Recommended 4 GB (1.5 GB for Android SDK and emulator system image and 500 MB for IDE)
  • Minimum screen resolution:1280 x 800

Linux

  • GNOME or KDE desktop
  • GNU C Library 2.19 or later
  • Minimum 3 GB RAM, Recommended  8 GB RAM; and 1 GB for the Android Emulator
  • Minimum 2 GB of available disk space,
    Recommended 4 GB (1.5 GB for Android SDK and emulator system image and 500 MB for IDE)
  • Minimum screen resolution:1280 x 800
