How to avoid Interruptions on your phone
Mobile phone technology has been a boon to the human race, it has connected and brought the world together. This boon in some ways also acts as a curse as you are always available to people to contact you. This continuous availability doesn’t allow you to focus on your task and can hit your productivity.
To deal with this, Google’s latest operating system, Android Lollipop has given the liberty to its user to decide when he/she should be interrupted with phone calls, messages and other notifications.
Today, we will be taking you through a step by step guide to understand how you can tell your phone when you must be disturbed.
Remember, this new feature is available only for Android Lollipop users.
1. Go to settings:
The first thing you need to do is go to the settings of your phone by pulling down the top menu. Scroll down to “Sound and Notification” and tap it.
2. Click on Interruptions:
Once you are in “Sound and Notification” scroll down to “Interruptions” option. In the “Interruptions” you will find a few options. In the Downtime menu, you will find “Days” option, Click on it. You will be shown days of the week to choose which days you want no interruptions.
3. Set the Start and End time:
After the days are set, the next thing to do is set up the Start and End time. During this time, you won’t be getting any notification.
4. Set Priorities:
From the Priority Interruptions menu, you can decide which notifications you want to go off. There are three options to select from – Event & Reminders, Calls and Messages.
Now, you can only be disturbed at your own wish.
